Welcome to the Supplemental
Throughout life we are faced with the difficult choice of: Do I keep living the way I’ve been living or do I start living a healthy, more fulfilling life? I took that step many years ago and never looked back. As a naturopathic doctor who loves to surf, bike, eat well and eliminate stress from my life, I am dedicated to living well—and I’m here to share with you how I do it—and how you can, too.
But I’m not the only one.
The Supplemental brings together seven women (and yours truly) who can relate to the challenges that you face when kick-starting or maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Some of us are parents, some of us are single. Some of us are weekend athletes, some of us are more serious about our physical training. Some of us work full-time, and probably all of us feel like something is working us 24/7. And all of us have strong voices. But none of us is perfect. We hope you’ll find something relatable about each of us.
Our aim is to build a community—with snapshots of our lives and our tips and personal stories around what we call “the three pillars of health”—healthy diet, supplements, and exercise. We hope you’ll add your voice to the mix through comments. (But sorry, no medical advice—that’s what your own doctor, or other healthcare practitioner is for!) Just good, healthy fun with other people looking to feel good and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
