WannaBeWell Mobile App Review

Do you ever forget to take your multivitamin and/or other supplements? I do…all the time. I start the day with good intentions but since I don’t take all my supplements in the morning, I usually end up forgetting my mid-day and evening dose much too often for my liking. It’s not that I don’t want to take them; I just always seem to remember at the worst time…like when I’m in the car, in the shower, or out for a run. Does that ever happen to you?

That’s why I’m loving the WannabeWell iPhone and iPad app. This free wellness app has a ton of cool features. You get your own personal animated wellness coach (aptly dressed for the part!) who acts as part-cheerleader, part guru, offering nutrition advice and tips as well as “Healthy Mission” tasks to which you can collect trophies for accomplishing. You also have access to the “My Wellness Scorecard” which is an online quiz that assesses your current level of overall health and offers tips and ways to improve. You get rated as a AlphaWELL, WELL, WannaBeWELL, or an OhWELL. I am a WELL. I narrowly missed out on AlphaWELL status, mostly because of my inconsistent supplement intake, which is why one of my favorite features of the app is the supplement reminders. For the last week, I’ve asked the app to remind me twice per day to take my supplements. I enter in the type, the times, and the dosage I want to take each day, and the app sends me a pop-up message to remind me. I’m thinking this feature is going to take me from a WELL to an AlphaWELL in no time.

Another feature I spend a lot of time in is the Supplement Resource Library, which houses information on health conditions, ranging from eczema and jet lag to tendinitis. The Supplement Resource Library provides comprehensive information about dietary supplements in a simple-and-easy to understand format, along with relevant articles and insights on supplement usage. You can also add any of the supplements you look up to your personal supplement list right from the library tab.

The app also gives you instant access to this blog, the Supplemental, which serves to provide you with fresh and innovative perspectives to inspire you to make smart choices.

By far, the very best thing about the WannaBeWell app is that it helps support Vitamin Angels. For each WannaBeWell mobile app download, a $1 donation (up to $13,500) will be made to Vitamin Angels to help reduce child mortality by connecting infants and young children with essential nutrients that are missing in their diet.

You can download the app here.
